What disposal actually means
Recycled, not dumped
A mattress pulls apart into steel, foam, timber and fabric. Where a recycler takes it, it goes there. Illegal dumping is never a route we use.
Nothing left at the kerb
We do not tip the mattress on the verge and drive off. It goes onto the vehicle and away to a proper destination, sorted the same day.
Hygiene handled from pickup
Stained or soiled mattresses are wrapped before they move, so nothing sheds through the house or the van. Gloves on, bagged, gone.
After the mattress leaves
Collection is the visible half. What happens next is the part most people never see, and it is the reason this page exists. One vehicle, more runs
One vehicle does each job. A 4 tonne pantech with a tail-lift suits a full clearance, but plenty of narrow inner streets and tight driveways will not take it. Where the pantech cannot reach the door, a smaller vehicle comes instead and makes more runs. You are never charged for two vehicles on one booking.

What actually happens to my mattress?
It is sorted by condition, then sent where it recovers best. A clean, dry mattress goes to a recycler, where steel springs, foam and timber are separated and put back into use.
One that is soaked, mouldy or infested cannot be recycled, so it goes to a licensed transfer station instead. Nothing is tipped on the verge, and nothing is left with you to deal with later.
Do you recycle every mattress?
We recycle every mattress that can be recycled, which is most of them. Condition decides it. Dry and intact means a recycler; wet, mouldy or bed bug affected means a licensed transfer station, because a recycler will not accept those.
We do not promise a recycler for a mattress no recycler will take, and we will not dump one to save a trip. The honest answer is recycling first, lawful disposal second.
How do you handle a soiled mattress?
It is wrapped before it moves. A stained or soiled mattress is bagged at the pickup so nothing sheds through your hallway, the stairs or the vehicle, and the crew wear gloves throughout.
Tell us at the quote if a mattress is soaked or infested. It changes where the mattress can go, not whether we take it, and it lets the hauler bring the right wrapping on the day.
Can you take several mattresses in one go?
Yes. Holiday lets, share houses and rental resets often have five or ten beds to clear at once. We book that as a single clearance rather than item by item, and one vehicle handles the run.
If the old furniture and appliances are going too, say so at the quote. Junk removal clears the rooms in the same visit, so the whole reset happens in one booking rather than several.
