Stack it near a gate if you can, and keep loose soil out. Fronds pack badly, so bundling them roughly makes the load smaller.

These come apart more easily than they look. A six-seat table travels flat once the legs are off, and a barbecue goes on whole once the gas bottle is out.

Near the water a fridge or a washer fails at the feet and the seals first. We take both, and the tail-lift does the lifting.

Do you take garden and green waste?
Yes. Prunings, fronds, clippings and lifted turf all load fine, alongside the furniture and appliances from indoors.
Green waste is priced on the room it takes up rather than on what it weighs, so a rough size helps us more than a guess at kilos. Compare the pile to something we can picture, a trailer load or the height of a wheelie bin. Say if any limb is longer than about two metres, because cut down it lies flat and travels for less.

Then it is ready to go. Table, chairs, umbrella and the perished cushions all leave on the one booking.
Say what the table top is made of before you book. Timber and aluminium are light enough for one hauler, but a stone or tiled top is where a setting starts to approach our 150kg limit on a single item, and that changes the crew we roster. Nothing needs taking apart first. Seized bolts are our problem, not yours.
The old fridge is under the house.
No problem. The haulers go down to it rather than asking you to wrestle it up the steps first.
A fridge that has sat under a house for years comes out through the tightest part of the path, so the width of the gate or the doorway tells us more than the size of the fridge does. Defrost and empty it the day before if the power is still on. Count the whitegoods down there too, because two together change the crew.
Do we need to drag it to the kerb?
No. Leave everything exactly where it stands, in the garden, the carport, the shed or the room it has always lived in.
Clear a path instead. Cars off the driveway, the side gate propped open and the dog somewhere else for the hour. If the load is spread between a deck, a shed and the back garden, tell us at the quote rather than on the day, because collecting from three spots takes longer than loading one heap. Nothing waits out on the verge overnight.
