Where does the lower shore stop and the upper begin?
Loosely at Chatswood. Anything harbour-side of it behaves like the lower shore, and from Roseville north the housing is freestanding.
The line matters less than your actual address, though. Chatswood itself sits on the boundary and behaves like the lower shore because of its towers, while a large old house in Cremorne behaves like the upper. Give us the building type first and the suburb second, and the questions we ask will match your access either way.
Is a move from Mosman to Wahroonga one booking?
Yes. One crew, one truck and one fixed price for both ends, however different the two addresses look.
Plan the order of the day around the harder half. A Mosman home below road level loads slowly, so we start there while the crew is fresh and unload up the ridge later in the day. Give us the stairs at one end and the driveway at the other when you book, and the whole run is quoted as a single job.
Which suburb page should I read instead?
Chatswood if you live in a tower, Hornsby if your driveway falls away from the road, and Ryde for the Macquarie Park corridor.
Each of the three goes deeper than a region page can. The Chatswood page works through getting a service lift held and reading a dock clearance. My driveway is too steep for a large truck.
That is common up the ridge and it is planned for rather than a problem on the day. A smaller vehicle works between your door and the pantech waiting at the street.
The fleet runs utes, cargo vans from one to three tonne, and the 4 tonne pantech with a tail-lift, so something almost always fits. What helps most is a photograph taken from where a truck would have to stop, showing the slope and the gate together. One image settles the crew size more reliably than any description.
