How do you handle stairs in an old beachfront block?

Say whether the stairwell turns and how wide the landing is, because that decides if a sofa goes up on its side or comes apart in the hall. A single piece longer than three metres or heavier than 150kg sits outside what we take, so warn us early about anything in that bracket.
Can a smaller van get closer to my door?
Often, yes. A one to three tonne cargo van fits streets and driveways the four tonne pantech cannot, so it parks nearer and shortens every trip the crew makes.
The trade is runs. A van holds less, so a three bedroom flat can mean two loads instead of one, and on a longer move that costs more time than the shorter carry saves. Where both vehicles can get close we bring the pantech. Tell us the street width and we will choose.
Is the summer rush harder to book?
Busier, yes, and the roads slow down with it. The first starts of the day go before anything else, so a date set well ahead is worth more here than in most suburbs.
If your date is fixed and it lands on a busy weekend, take the earliest slot and have the stairwell and the entry clear before the crew arrives. Half an hour lost at the front door hurts the day more than the extra distance to the truck ever will.
