What the terrace decides
Halls thinner than a lounge
Victorian terraces were built long and thin, and the entry hall caps everything that leaves. We want its narrowest point before a truck is booked.
Stairs that climb and wind
Internal staircases here are steep and frequently wind near the top. Bed bases travel up on edge, and a tall wardrobe comes apart to clear the winder.
No driveway, no forecourt
Off-street parking barely exists, so loading happens at the kerb. Clearway hours shut the main road kerb altogether, which quietly sets your start time.
Terraces, share houses and kerbs
Newtown is largely Victorian terraces, with rentals and share housing woven all the way through them. The homes are narrow, tall and close together, and almost none have anywhere to park.
