Blocks beside the line
Along the rail corridor the housing is apartment blocks, so the questions are the entry door, your floor, and whether the building has a lift or only stairs.
Wider streets further out
Away from the line the streets open up and a truck can stand at the front. Those moves run quicker, because the carry is short and nothing interrupts the loading.
Federation homes, long hallways
The older houses give the crew a generous hallway to work down, right up to the turn at the end. We check the tallest piece against that turn.
Moving house in Ashfield
Ashfield changes character with distance from the railway line. Close in it is apartment blocks. Further out it is Federation houses on wider streets, where a truck has room to work.
That split is the planning question. A block means an entry, a floor number, and either a lift or a stairwell. A house on a wide street means the truck sits out the front and a short walk. Our moving house checklist handles the rest.

One question decides a block move. Does the furniture go up in a lift or up a stairwell. Both are ordinary work, they just need different crew numbers, settled at booking rather than at the door.

Only the access, not the way we price. What matters is your floor, whether there is a lift, and how close a truck can stand to the entry.
The truck can park out the front. Is that cheaper?
Often. Short carries load faster, and loading time is a real part of what you pay for. It is why two homes of the same size can quote differently here.
Stairs only, no lift. How many flights is too many?
None, in practice. We count the flights at the quote and add a third hauler where the carry needs one. We do need the number at both addresses, not only yours.
I am moving a few streets away. Is that worth a truck?
Usually. A local move still fills a truck, and doing it once with a crew beats an afternoon of car trips. For one or two items, a smaller booking suits it better.
