Sydney Furniture Delivery

Bought it. We collect it.

Furniture delivery starts where a purchase ends. The piece is sitting in a warehouse, a showroom or somebody else's garage, and it has to reach your lounge room. That is a collection, not a move.

  • Retailer docks, showrooms and marketplace pickups
  • Carried to the room you name, not left at the gate
  • Single items up to 3m long and 150kg

Why a collection is different

Two parties, one window

The seller sets when the piece can leave. You set when it can arrive. Only one of those is yours to move.

Nobody measured your hallway

A retailer measures the product. The doorway at your end is yours to check, and that is where deliveries fail.

The kerb is not home

Plenty of sellers stop at the tailgate. Room of choice carries the piece inside and up the flights.

From purchase to lounge room

The trigger here is a receipt, not a lease. You have bought a sofa, a dining table or a fridge, and the seller has handed you the logistics.

That reverses the usual order. On a move you know every piece and both addresses. On a collection you may never have seen the item, and the pickup address belongs to someone else. Book it as small moves and delivery and send the item, not a room count.

Retailer and warehouse collections

Larger retailers sell dock or click and collect only, then quote a delivery that stops at the entrance. Send the order number and the collection window, and a hauler goes and gets it.

Marketplace and secondhand pickups

Private sellers want the piece gone, often the same day. Ask for dimensions and a photo before you commit. Payment and inspection stay with you, as on any single item furniture delivery.

Getting it through the door

Measure the narrowest point on the route, not the room. Doorways, the turn on the stairs, and the lift opening.

Send these three

  • The listing or product page, with dimensions
  • The collection address and when it can be picked up
  • Flights or lift access at the delivery end

Cheaper if you can: buy two pieces from one seller and have them collected together, not booked twice.

Photos help: one of the item and one of your front door answer most questions. See how much removalists cost.

To book: quote online at picup.com.au/bookings, or call 1300 174 287 if the seller is strict on timing.

Furniture delivery FAQs

Can you collect from a retailer for me?

Yes. Send the order number, the collection address and the window the seller gave you. A hauler presents at the dock and brings the piece home.

Do you pay or inspect the item?

No. Money and condition stay between you and the seller. Settle both before the pickup, so the hauler only has to load and drive.

What if it will not fit through the door?

It goes back on the vehicle, which is why the measurement is worth two minutes. Send the narrowest doorway and the piece dimensions when you quote.

Same day pickup from a marketplace seller?

Often possible. Sellers want the space back quickly, so tell us the earliest and latest it can be collected and we work inside that.

Where do you deliver, and what is excluded?

South Sydney, the Inner West, the airport precinct, Bondi and the Eastern Suburbs, plus St George and Bayside. We do not move pianos, pool tables or safes, and we offer no packing or storage.

Send the item, not the room.

Paste the listing, add both addresses, and pick how far inside it goes.
